We have some pretty major prayer requests here
and we would really love to have you guys praying for these people as well.
First, there is a little girl who is about 1.
She was in an accident that
cracked open her skull. She is currently paralyzed on one side of her body. The
Doctors here have said that they do not know how to do the brain surgery but
they could try it. We are currently praying that the girl would be healed and
also that there may be a doctor who would do this operation. We have a lead on
a doctor from New York that has in the past done things for free for missions.
This little girl's name is Holly. Also pray for the person who was watching her
at the time. Holly was actually in the care of a babysitter when the accident
happened, so pray for her emotional state right now.
Second, the guy who is running the kids club,
in one of the Ger
communities, hurt his back a couple months back. It actually happened the week
before we arrived in country. He is still having problems with his back and
they are pretty bad. He went to a doctor last week for an MRI and the doctor
only told him that he needed surgery. This past week he was able to see another
doctor who actually explained to him what was happening. The doctor basically
said that he was a walking miracle...because he was still walking. He should be paralyzed from the waist down and is now on bed rest for the next
3-4 months. Pray for healing for him as well as for the leadership of the kids
club. His name is Baysaa.
Third, Please pray for the grounds guy at the kids club.
We got a phone
call a few days back saying that he lost all of his vision. We now know that he suffered from a stroke and is really in need of prayer. His name is Puriv.
Both of these last two have the potential of being spiritual attacks. Because
of the connectedness to the kids club as well as the close proximity of
shamans, we are guessing that there may be a few attacks taking place. So
please pray against those forces as well as for the protection of the rest of
us.

Finally, please pray for the Baergs.
They are going through a pretty
stressful time right now. Because it is the new year, Rob is trying to get some
reports finished for the government as well as some budget stuff for MBMission.
He is overload with a lot of work and is really stressed out. Also, they are
both trying to work out what they are supposed to be doing right now. They are
trying to: get a piece of land for their retreat center, figure out what is
happening with the kids club, work through some family things that are
happening, and plan for a few trips that are about to take place. There is just
a lot going on.
These
are the top major prayer requests that we have right now and would love for you
guys to join our prayers.
